It’s easy to apply for the European Film Academy membership. Fill out your application form, get a response and register to join our vibrant community.
Step 1
Select from one of the two membership categories below. The application form lists the criteria required to be eligible to apply for membership.
Step 2
The European Film Academy will review your application and will notify you within a month about the status.
Step 3
If approved, you will be able to create your profile and select a membership plan.

Members support the Academy’s work in a constructive and positive way and act as an informal ambassador of European cinema. You will help to build European cinema culture and make your voice heard!
Events
You will receive invitations to the annual ceremony of the European Film Awards, the online General Assembly and more events the Academy organizes throughout the year (receptions, conference panels, etc.).
Votings
You will be able to access selected films on the Academy VOD Platform, vote for nominees and winners, elected functions and also put yourself forward as a candidate for a seat in the Board.
The European Film Academy offers two types of membership: Applicants under the age of 36 are eligible to apply for young membership.

Our classic membership applies to eligible candidates from 36 years of age.

Classic Membership Subscription
For applicants accepted to the Classic Membership (36 years of age and older).
You are 36 years or older.
Applicants working in the creative fields of the industry, as well as producers, must have worked on at least 3 full-length (70+ minutes) cinema productions (fiction feature, documentary, animation) that have been released in cinemas or at festivals and must have received noteworthy credits for their work on these films
Nominees and European Film Awards winners are eligible to join the European Film Academy.
Winners and nominees of European national film awards are eligible to become members.
The European Film Academy decides on applicants from other areas of the film industry individually.
You are from an eligible country or have worked continuously in Europe for at least five years or have another strong connection to European cinema.
Young Membership Subscription
For applicants accepted to the Young Membership (35 years of age and younger).
You are 35 years or younger.
Applicants working in the creative fields of the industry, as well as producers, must have worked on at least 3 full-length (70+ minutes) cinema productions (fiction feature, documentary, animation) that have been released in cinemas or at festivals and must have received noteworthy credits for their work on these films
